Blackjack or what is popularly known as “21” or “Pontoon” is one of the most famous games in the gambling world. This mind boggling game has different versions and every casino has its own rules but have same basic principle. The player has to reach exactly or close to the number 21 but should not be going over it. Blackjack is popular in both traditional and online casinos.
Blackjack is a betting game of cards with face value (number on the cards) and face cards (Jack, Queen and King) which generally range from two to eleven. As betting is involved, the player can place the bet once the cards are dealt in the area designated to it. Bets are paid in the ratio of 2:1 or 1:5 in few conditions.
The game solely depends on the ability of the player, to stand with what he has on hand or to break after the cards are dealt. Blackjack depends on skill and the confidence of the player. Sometimes the dealer can break or get busted and the player wins. Blackjack is generally a game of luck although wit has also its influence on it.
It is not a simple game of cards where everything is purely concentrated on luck. A smart player can gain advantage by calculating the odds from the cards that are already dealt.
